Uh Oh Dynamo.jpg

When the Professor worries for the girls' safety, he builds a fifty-foot tall robot that he calls Powerpuff Dynamo.

Plot

The Urban center of Townsville is habitation to many landmarks and fun activities, except for Mount Rushmore. I of its most famous landmarks is Bonsai Gardens Park, a park in the Japanese-inspired commune of Little Tokyo. At that place, the Utonium family is having a simple outing. Nevertheless, all is not fun and games when the Giant Fish Airship Monster interrupts their fun. The girls take on the monster, merely when they take harm equally the Professor watches, he starts to worry nearly their prophylactic. Though the girls are successful at neutralizing the monster's threat, the professor expresses an extreme fearfulness that he could accept lost them in activeness. Buttercup tries to reassure him that they are okay, saying that they're supposed to fight criminal offence and giant monsters.

That night, at the Utonium residence, a paternal instinct drives the Professor to typhoon and build a giant robot and show it to the girls. His mechanical adjust, congenital in the image of the girls themselves is what he refers to every bit a Dynamic Nanotechtronic Monobot; the "Dynamo". It is equipped with state-of-the-art, internal teleoperated, intelligent protection, multi-layered titanium reflux-chambered shielding, a fully-loaded, defensive smart strategic combat arsenal, and an anti-aggressor exo-deflector array. The Professor urges the girls to utilize it, and Flower agrees, but only if they really need it.

The days go by, even so, and a week of fighting law-breaking, addressing fires, and taking down other monsters leaves the Dynamo almost out of commission. Then, on Saturday, as the family unit enjoys the evening paper boat race at Bonsai Gardens Park, the monster from before shows upward, calling for its even bigger counterpart. The girls endeavor to stop this behemothic fish, only to get injured and beat upward. The already-big fish monster badly sucks air to inflate itself and get even larger, before terrorizing nearby citizens and start attacking the urban center.

Every bit the monster goes off destroying Tokyo Townsville, the Professor begs the girls to use the Dynamo, only the girls refuse. Finally, the Professor has had plenty of this negligence, and he threatens to ground the girls if they don't use Dynamo. Having no choice, the girls accept. The girls set the Dynamo for the boxing with the Professor following behind past way of helicopter.

The monster is still razing the commune of Little Tokyo until the Dynamo shows upwards. The Dynamo tries to fight, just its protective safety shield activates unexpectedly. While the mech is in a defensive whorl reminiscent of a hedgehog, the monster sends it corking through numerous buildings. Blossom discovers that a condom switch had been activated by the Professor out of concern.

With its systems stabilized, the Dynamo continues to fight the monster, commencement by attempting to shoot missiles. However, the missiles all seem to miss the monster at betoken-blank range. The monster counters this by inflating itself and then much that it launches the large pins on its body at loftier speed, hitting all in the area. Dynamo manages to deflect many of the dumb-fire spikes and attempts to cut it with its scissor-similar bow. Though powerful enough to level some structures, the monster dulls the scissor-bow with a piece of droppings. Knowing the monster's weakness, Dynamo grabs the sign from a bowling alley and grabs its three stars from the sign, throwing them like shurikens at the monster. The sharp stars hit the monster and, like how a pin pops a balloon, crusade it to debunk and fly abroad uncontrollably to Mount Rushmore (to someone'south surprise there, who says "Hey!" equally the deflated monster falls above him). Despite all that had been razed in the immediate gainsay zone, with the monster defeated, the girls (and Dynamo) gloat with a victory dance.

The Mayor thanks the girls for dispatching the large monster, but with the urban center burning among them, he as well berates them for destroying the majority of Townsville with the Dynamo, and says that they shouldn't use the Dynamo once more, denouncing it as a "Bot-strosity." The rest of the town'south angry citizens agree. In their defence, the girls betoken to the Professor in the helicopter and tells the Mayor that it's his mistake because he made them utilise it. The professor, nervous, escapes on his chopper to avoid the angry citizens (and even the mayor and the girls).

As the Narrator says, the day is saved- more like "destroyed" by the girls, (which actually done by Utonium). The Narrator adds that just because the Professor's genius doesn't make him a smart guy (noting his lack of common sense).

Trivia

  • This is the Professor'due south most villainous role considering he invented the Dynamo that destroyed Townsville and even forced the Girls to use information technology. Despite this, the girls were able to beat the monster without the Dynamo. Still, he had the all-time intentions for the Girls when creating Dynamo, so he'due south considered a white villain in this episode, most similar to Iron Man in Helm America: Ceremonious State of war.
  • This is the first episode to contain a slow-motion animation. Ii other episodes contain slow-motility. Namely "Mo Task" and "Cootie Gras".
  • Mojo Jojo'due south observatory was destroyed by the fish balloon monster and subsequently the events of this episode, information technology is assumed that Mojo repaired his observatory.
  • The Dynamo is a parody of the Megazord/Daizyuzin from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger (and all other Megazords/Giant Robots in the Power Rangers/Super Sentai franchise) and Metal Gear REX from Metal Gear Solid:
    • The Professor building a behemothic robot that destroyed Townsville is a reference to Dr. Hal "Otacon" Emmerich from Metallic Gear Solid.
    • It can also be assumed that it's a parody of Godzilla'due south robotic clone, Mechagodzilla, due to the extensive amount of missiles it has, including finger, knee, and toe ones.
  • The Dynamo wasn't used again until "Live & Let Dynamo", simply it wasn't piloted by the girls in that episode (simply ironically, by The Mayor).
  • The screaming oversupply in this episode reappears in "Powerprof.".
  • The meteor the girls destroy resembles the ane from "Ice Sore", but in this example, the girls manage to destroy the meteor before it gets a chance to enter Earth's atmosphere as it did in the earlier episode.
  • Towards the end of this episode, when the Mayor angrily looks at the girls, they share shocked and saddened looks, merely when they appear in the episode outro, they are grinning as usual and they are in their normal dress and poses.
  • Dynamo's hairstyle is a mix of the 3 girls' (Buttercup's slit, Bubbles' pigtails, and Blossom's bow.)
  • Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory makes an appearance in this episode.
  • Speaking of Dexter, the episode is somewhat reminiscent of the season 2 finale of Dexter's Laboratory, "Last But Not Beast." Both episodes have behemothic robots fight off giant monsters.
  • At the stop of this episode, the usual end shot is skinny and the "hearts" background is scratched out.
  • The Dynamo has also seen in Cartoon Network: Fusion Fall as a costume set when the actor chooses Dexter as their guide.
  • When The Dynamo yells 'Hai ya', her mouth was moving like she is a fully-sentient multi-functional automaton.
  • This is the kickoff episode where the Girls are seen in their swimsuits.
  • This is 1 of Craig McCracken's x favorite episodes.
  • This episode was adjusted from one of the 4 "Whoopass Stew" shorts Craig McCracken did at CalArts: Monster Trouble.
  • This is the final episode of Season ane.
  • This episode is likewise a parody of behemothic monster films made in Japan, and a spoof of the kaiju film, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.
  • A clip of the end of this episode is shown in "Oops, I Did Information technology Once more" to show that Dynamo was non one of the Professor's all-time inventions.
  • This episode perhaps contains the largest number of on-screen casualties in the series. Examples include the monster stomping on a crowded section of a highway, eating an elderly woman, shaking a building and causing people to fall out, causing one of his spines to hit a stuffed and cause it to crash into a crowded stadium, presumably killing everyone there; and incinerating a crowd.
  • Despite the monster is indeed very powerful, information technology is vulnerable to sharp objects due to the airship-like characteristics, thus making abrupt objects its primary weakness. The star signs thrown past Dynamo instantly pops the monster upon puncturing it, causing it to deflate uncontrollably and finish up falling in Mount Rushmore.
  • The monster is a parody of Godzilla, Gamera, and Anguirus.
  • When the girls and the professor are in the lab Bubbles is property Octi, which the doll disappears for a belief moment.
